Alongside 2008's Homecoming
Microsoft has confirmed that psychological horror titles Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill: Homecoming are now available on Xbox One's backwards compatibility lineup.
Silent Hill HD Collection was originally released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and spruces up Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 in shiny high-definition.
To be fair, both games are some of the finest slices of survival horror you can tuck into, although the collection suffered from some glaring technical issues that seriously marred the series' iconic foggy visuals.

Silent Hill: Homecoming came out in 2008 and was the first major series instalment not to be developed by Team Silent. It features more emphasis on combat, with protagonist Alex Shepherd far more agile than previous protagonists thanks to the new viewpoint, and allows you to explore a neighbouring community of eponymous town known as Shepherd's Glenn.
As always, you can fire up both games by popping your existing Xbox 360 discs into your console now, or buy HD Collection from the Xbox Store for £8.74. For some reason, Homecoming isn't available on the UK store at the time of writing.
Interestingly, a group of fans recently discovered a bunch of hidden secrets in Silent Hill 2, some 17 years after the game first came out.
